From September 4th to 6th: Occitan music and dance at Trad'Azun

Comme chaque année, le festival Trad’Azun d’Arrens-Marsous met à l’honneur la culture et le patrimoine occitans.
Musique, danse et chants traditionnels : venez découvrir le temps d’un week-end, cette « musique trad » soigneusement entretenue par des passionnés !

A joyful festival of traditional Occitan

Throughout the weekend, many artists come to perform and make you dance, so that traditional Occitan music, dances and songs live on and are passed on.

As is customary in oral tradition, it is by doing that one learns: get it explained to you... and off you go!

Naturally, while the basics remain the same, the instruments, musical arrangements, and dances evolve. It is in these creations that we find the strength of traditional music – unlike folk music, which is much more codified.

At Trad'Azun, the entire Occitan culture is celebrated

Salon de lutherie, initiation aux chants et aux instruments, balades contées, marché aux artisans et producteurs locaux, bal et jeux agrémentent ce weekend plein d’enthousiasme, de chaleur et décontraction.

Des instruments bien vivants, comme la boha (cornemuse) l’alboka (clarinette double, la caremère (clarinette), joués par des artistes passionnés, au service de la danse et du rythme !
