Chalet la Source | Cauterets Hautes-Pyrénées

Adding beauty
is in our nature.

Slide 1

Hike with the engaging Lamas

Gilles Tosca, a former cheesemaker and mountain guide, is also a llama herder. Alongside Tio, Tchupi, Nahual, Névé, Joke, and Igloo, you can explore the Gavarnie valleys with him on half-day, full-day, or even overnight bivouac excursions. A Machu Picchu-like atmosphere in the Pyrenees—now that's something!

Chalet Source Cauterets Lama01Passionate about local tales and legends, Gilles will also transport you through the ages as you hike along the trails. A particularly engaging mountain experience, perfect for introducing hiking to the whole family and all generations, amidst the magnificent landscapes surrounding Chalet La Source: the Cauterets valley, Hautacam and the Val d'Azun.

In addition to the beauty of the sites, this activity will allow you to discover and create a bond with these extraordinary animals, the llamas, tireless carriers perfectly adapted to steep terrain, but also social and affectionate animals.
