The Cirque du Lys is one of the snowiest ski areas in the Pyrenees. Accessible by gondola just 10 minutes from the chalet, it's a family-friendly resort with 20 slopes, a kids' club, a beginner area, and a toboggan run. The most challenging runs, starting from the mountain ridges, offer breathtaking panoramic views of the Pic du Midi, Ardiden, and Vignemale – simply magnificent! The resort also features a freestyle park and a ski touring route.
The Nordic area of Pont d'Espagne will amaze you with its wild and unspoiled nature. Located 7 km from Cauterets, it offers some lovely downhill trails through the fir trees, and a large Nordic area with 36 km of trails alternating between forest, waterfalls and wide open spaces.
And if you want to vary, the "Grand Ski Pyrénées des Vallées de Gavarnie" pass will allow you, in addition to Cauterets, to discover the alpine areas of Grand Tourmalet, Luz Ardiden and Gavarnie-Gèdre, and the Nordic area of Val d'Azun.
